What We Do
The Willow Studios is a values-based* and community oriented space for empowering and uplifting artists; especially those that are just getting started or those that could use a hand in building the business side of their practice. That said, there are no prerequisites for our artists. Operating in the space between independent and fine art, we work with artists to define their goals and offer tailored services accordingly.
Some of the services we offer include:
exhibition, showcase, and market opportunities with the Willow Studios;
soliciting sales and services opportunities, and assisting with contract negotiations;
navigating grant applications, calls for artists/submissions and other applications;
marketing and business planning.

Our Approach
We recognize and respect your lived experience so our collaborative approach ensures that we meet you where you’re at. Our services are commission based (we don’t get paid until you do) or Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC). We also welcome opportunities for service trades, energy exchanges, among other arrangements!
Our Values
*we believe everything is political (TM The Slow Factory), including (especially) art. We believe in collective liberation, including (but certainly not limited to) a free Palestine, Congo, Sudan, Lebanon, Puerto Rico, Guam, Ukraine, Syria, Western Sahara, Georgia, and Tibet. We believe in Land Back, that Black Lives Matter, and that sex work is real work. We love our trans friends and we believe that love is love. We adopt the Canadian Human Rights Commission definitions of "discrimination" and "harassment", and we uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of discrimination and harassment including (but not limited to) racism, sexism, homophobia, antisemitism, transphobia, misogyny, Islamophobia, ageism, xenophobia, ableism, and classism.
